Sometimes tongues is just letting things settle – like a dyer might use something to ‘fix’ the dye or you might use hardener on children’s clay. Tongues can bring a permanence and indelibility to things. For example, an attitude that has changed or situation that has turned around can be held or fixed by tongues. The tongues may be settling the finer details, sorting the loose ends and finalising the situation – holding it. It‘s a good idea to carry on in tongues and release the full blessing and not fall short of all that I long to give you. Often when your tongues is doing this you will feel as if you are praising, thanking or just enjoying shouting about the victory and peace we have together through the new covenant!!
